THE 12 BEAUTIFUL FOUNDATIONS!!! "The wall of the city had 12 foundations, and on them were the names of the 12 apostles of the Lamb." The foundation is considered to be the basis and important part of any building. Even though the exterior of any building is magnificent, but if it does not have a proper foundation it is sure to collapse. In Revelation 21:14, we read that the names of the Apostles are written in the foundations of "New Jerusalem" - the Bride of the Lamb (Rev 21: 9, 11). To add more beauty to it the foundations were decorated with beautiful precious stones (Rev 21:19). The Church is compared to the bride of Christ and gave himself as a sacrifice for the redemption of the Church (Eph 5:25).
