SPEAK LORD FOR UR SERVANT IS LISTENING!!!

Acts 3

Samuel was a promised child, chosen child, was in the plan or path that God wanted him to be and was ministering in the House of God.

1. Though he was in front of the Ark of God in His presence (The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was. 1 Samuel 3:3), Samuel could not hear or distinguish when the Lord spoke to him.

Being the Creator of the entire universe, the Lord desires to speak to us but, many a times like Samuel, we might not identify His voice.

Probably, we never believe that God would speak to us personally or we never heed His majestic voice and are occupied with the things of this world.

2. The Lord began speaking with Samuel, only when he was ready to hear His voice ( The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” 1 Samuel 3:10 )

The Lord will not speak unless we are ready to hear His voice. Are we ready to wait patiently in His presence to hear the Almighty Righteous God speak??

3. Samuel was able to maintain a close a intimate relationship with God. ("The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word. 1 Samuel 3:21")

BLESSINGS FROM GOD 😊

1. The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground. (1 Samuel 3:19
2. All Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the Lord. (1 Samuel 3:20)
2. God used Samuel to annoint the Saul & David as Kings.

THINGS TO PONDER ON
1. Am I in the plan that God wants me to be???
2. Am I ready to wait in His presence to hear His voice???

The Empty Stone Water Jars!!!

THE EMPTY STONE WATER JARS!!! "Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water” ; so they filled them to the brim." John 2: 6,7. In John 2:6, we read that the purpose of the stone water jars was to hold water for the ceremonial washing in the wedding house. The jars did not fulfill the purpose of holding water, but were empty. We might feel that our lives r like the water jars kept aside, empty, unnoticed and ignored by people and without any purpose.. "God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." 1 Corinthians 1:27. When the pots were unnoticed by people, God's amazing eyes feel on the pots. The pots which were empty and were supposed to carry water were filled with wine and distributed to all the Guests in the wedding ceremon

Lack of PaTiEnCe :(

We are living in a busy world where we do not have time to even smile at our neighbours or even speak to God :( God desires & longs to speak with us, but we have no time for Him. In Gal 5:22, we read that the fruit of the Spirit includes PATIENCE... Many a times when we lose the important characteristic we tend to lose the blessings of God... Saul was the first King chosen by God to lead the Israelites. In 1 Samuel 13, we read that the Philistines had gathered for war against Israel, as Samuel delayed in coming Saul offered the burnt offerings by himself in place of Saul. Intention: The intention of Saul was good. He desired to seek God before going to war. Circumstance: 1. The Philistines had gathered for war at Mikmash 2. The men (soldiers) were scattering 3. Samuel arrived late. Result: The kingdom left His hand as God had chosen a man after His own heart to rule His people. Like Saul don't look at the circumstances. You may face problems like the raging storms

SPEAK LORD!!!

SPEAK LORD!!! Many of us desire to hear the voice of God... And there are many who have a doubt of if "God really speaks" I have heard Prophet Vincent Selvakumar saying that if a man with a small mouth itself speaks in a nonstop basis, is it not possible for the Creator of us to speak. 😌 In this busy world, to meet important people like the Prime Minister, Chief Minister or other Important personalities we are required to obtain APPOINTMENTS 😢 But, in the Bible we read that Abraham was called the Friend of God, God spoke to Moses face to face just as a man speaks to his friend (Exodus 33:11), Jesus called His disciples Friends.. There are many examples in the Bible where people had a close and intimate relationship with God. But, the Almighty Righteous God desires to spend time with us. Let us commit ourselves to be His FRIEND & TO HEAR HIS VOICE.................
